“Just Keep Swimming”

It has been a busy couple of weeks. So many great things I want to share but I’ll save that for a later blog post. As you know it’s FRIDAY. Five minute Fridays!

One word, one blog post, unedited, my (or your) heart. The word this week is “keep“.

Go:

When I think of keep, I think of enduring, never giving up, holding on and not letting go. In the midst of this busy, awesome week, I was confronted with a struggle I’ve been dealing with for a while. It’s quite annoying to continue to face this challenge especially when being on a “winning streak”.

I felt defeated!

It’s like oh boy here we go again.

As I processed this situation further in light of our word for the week, there are two different things I can keep.

1. I can keep wallowing in defeat because this time I just didn’t overcome.

2. Or I can keep enduring, never give up, hold on and never let go of God’s promises. I can keep reminding myself that God will never leave me nor forsake me, God’s grace is sufficient, His power works best in weakness and His love for me cannot be separated. Surely if death doesn’t separate His love for me then this little challenge is just that, little.

In the words of cartoon’s funniest fish, “Just keep Swimming”

Stop.
